You'll learn how to combine solid software-development fundamentals with OpenAI Codex and AI coding agents to plan, build, debug, test and ship faster — while still understanding the decisions behind the code. Over four weeks, follow me through building a real web application: from project planning and development to server setup, deployment, and fixing issues in production. Build along on your own system and see how the whole workflow fits together. You won't be expected to manually code every line from scratch.

Your four-week build-to-launch plan

Plan the App and Set Up the Foundation

Define the product, map its user flows and data, set up the project and Git workflow, and establish the application structure.

Build and Connect the Application

Build the key features and connect the interface, backend, and database, including authentication, validation, and core business logic.

Debug and Prepare for Production

Trace and fix issues, test important workflows, review security basics, and prepare the code and configuration for deployment.

Deploy and Go Live

Configure the server, connect the domain and DNS, set up SSL, deploy the app, and troubleshoot it in production.
